Lecture “Anna-logical/illogical, something unexpected”. The thread is the “logical-illogical” method Anna used in her profession, a method of intuitions and connections, often casual and unexpected, the result of a continuos research on visual culture. Themes: polaroids of her outlooks, hats, fashion jewellery, Karl Lagerfeld illustrations, editorial materials. This lecture is particulary interesting for fashion students as it shows how to collect inspirations for the creative process.
Since 2014 to 2016, collaboration to the production of the first documentary dedicated to her, “Anna Piaggi, una visionaria nella moda”, director Alina Marazzi, based on interviews to fashion celebrities and friends and films from RAI archives. In collaboration with RAI Cinema, Arté Germany TV, RSI Italian Swiss TV. The film premiere took place in Milan as a special event during Fashion Film Festival, September 2016
December 2016, curatorship by Stefano Piaggi at Museo del Gioiello di Vicenza, Fashion room, a selection of costume jewelry from the collection together with a thematic storytelling about Anna’s vision of fashion accessories
Among our activities, on request we carry out research on the collection and provide advice on Anna's journalistic production, lending clothes, hats, accessories, illustrations, objects for exhibitions and publications
January 2020, research and loan of illustrations, polaroids and editorial materials for the exhibition: “Antonio Lopez, drawings and photographs” at Fondazione Sozzani, Milan
September 2021, in collaboration with Fondazione Sozzani, the exhibition: “Karl Lagerfeld, Anna Piaggi. Illustrated journal of an Anna-chronistic way of dressing” in two different venues: Corso Como, 10 and Via Tazzoli, 3, Milan. One hundred and eighty original drawings by Karl Lagerfeld, portray Anna Piaggi – muse, friend, and style icon in the 70s, 80s and 90s, togheter with hats, costume jewellery, note books, pictures and objects from her personal collection.
April 2023, during the Milan Design Week, within the Vogue Closet exhibition, two rooms are dedicated to Anna:
one to her favorite codes and related outifits: graphic, nature and flowers, british culture, pop-romantic, fashion as art, vintage; one to "Le Doppie Pagine" column.
From April to July 2024, in Rome at Uccelliere Farnesiane, Parco archeologico del Colosseo,
collaboration at Rara avis, fashion in flight exhibition. A special section is dedicated to some "winged" headgears from her collection, taking inspiration from a Vanity magazine article: "Wings everywhere, aerial responses to a flying fashion"
